Our Happy Clients Say About Us
Discover testimonials from our customers, families and carers.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s first national disability insurance scheme. It shifts from the previous system of providing block funding to agencies and community organisations to individual funding.
The NDIS is a federally managed and funded safety net, providing a nationally-consistent, lifetime commitment to people who have permanent and significant disability with funding for supports and services.
The NDIS is not a welfare; rather, it is an insurance-based programme that invests in participants in order to improve long-term outcomes.
NDIS Providers are NDIS-registered organisations that provide eligible support services while adhering to strict government quality and safety standards.
Eligibility for NDIS funding depends upon following conditions:
• Residence in Australia
• Aged between 7-65 years
• Proof of Australian Citizen or Permanent Visa Holder or Protected special category visa holder
• Must have a permanent and significant disability
Depending on your support plan and eligibility, you can use your NDIS funding for a variety of supports. Personal care, transportation, equipment, therapies, employment support, vehicle modification, community participation, domestic chores, and other services may be available to you. However, the support plan and services that you are eligible for are heavily influenced by your NDIS funding.
The price guide sets a price by the NDIS for supports offered under NDIS. It determines what a service provider can charge for supports, much like a Medicare line item.
Some people find it helpful to look through to better understand the breadth of supports available. However, it isn’t an exhaustive list as it doesn’t cover every single item.
For more information visit the price guide pages on the NDIS website.
